For Rijsland, I went on a fantastic Iceland roadtrip with Andres Frederix. The purpose was to drive with a campervan to some wild places and capture (drone)shots for the social media of the travel agency. First, we visited the touristic south coast. We were lucky to be there on the last day of the eruption of the Fagradalsfjall volcano! Then we headed up to the Snaefelsness peninsula to capture some great drone shots and, of course, the northern lights above the majestic mount Kirkjufell!
Be aware: flying with a drone is not always possible in Iceland. On many tourist spots, there are “no drone” signs. Definitely read the FAQ on https://www.icetra.is/aviation/drones/ and make sure all your paperwork and licenses are up to date. Also check your airline policies on bringing a drone to Iceland. In my case, I had to put the drone in the hand luggage, and the batteries in a seperate LIPO-safe bag with the contacts protected with duct-tape. Good luck!
Because images speak more than words, here is the video I made and a small selection of photos! Enjoy!
